TRIBALJ B.C. & A.D.

This summer Filipa and I decided to give our cottage a little makeover.
We had plenty ideas,
but at the end we opted for the easiest and cheapest solutions.

Painted the kitchen light green

painted the walls ..

We also painted the small room,
changed the bed
(it is the old one from our bedroom at home),
rearranged the furniture,
put the mirror and some frames over the dresser,
new (old) lamps, new curtains (again some leftovers)...

And we put an old window frame above the bed
(if you look closer you can see some drilled holes on the wall,
the picture was taken before we screwed on the window)
We didn't take the picture with the window as a decoration.
Filipa likes it,
I don't.
I think it will go down and
a nice photograph will come
above the bed.

The white dresser went into the living room,
the brown one from the living room
came in here.
Luckily Marijan was not here,
to be puzzled and ask
WHY, OH WHY???
Didn't have patience and time to paint the dresser some other color.
Though, brown doesn't look so bad  live.

Filipa painted the room  in warm coffee color  as white looked so cold and uninviting.
An alien is painting.
 This is the starting version.
But, we couldn't resist to over stuff the room.

We painted, scrubbed and sanded
all the old furniture we found.
The wooden table, made of recycled wood panels, looks really great.
We ripped the door off the old wardrobe,
and put a lightning fixture inside.

I must think  of the way to mask this ugly monsterlike television set.

Dining table and chairs went away.
 It is not finished yet,
I think I will change a few things here,
but this is a basic idea.
Cheap, old, recycled, colorful and comfy.
