Chairs

FAUX FUR THROWS ON THE CHAIRS EVERYWHERE ...

6th street design school

And finally some pictures from my dining room..

I bought some faux fur for my chairs in Ikea because my plastic Starck and Eames chairs look cool and fashionable, but they might be pretty cold if you sit on them in winter.
Do they look better with or without fur?

One member of my family (he - H)  can not get used to plastic chairs in the dining room. When they arrived in a special delivery from a specialist shop (after paying an olala amount of money and after having waited for them for more than four months), his only comment was : Plastic? Did you buy them as garden chairs?
He has never heard of Philippe Starck or icon Aiffel Eames plastic chairs, and he doesn't give a dime for design that is not comfortable or warm under his...sitting zone. After throwing some fur over them, he got a little bit more fond of sitting in them. But, as a matter of fact, they are really comfortable. Maybe just a little cold (without fur).

Aiffel plastic chairs are the only designer thing in our house. They are very popular and seem to be the choice in many households. I am not very original at all, aren't I?  You know what I don't like with designer things? If they are popular, you recognize them and see them everywhere. Like Barcelona Chairs or Saarinen Tulip table. And when you see them too often, they become...sort of boring and pretty common. Maybe I should put my expensive designers chairs in the garden or on the balcony, and get some new (old) chairs that nobody has? Maybe, six different chairs ???  That has always been Filipa's suggestion, I would like it too, Tea couldn't care less, but H would certainly be puzzled + disagree with our design concept. Now, look at the pics that follow, you see what I mean. Aiffel chairs pop out from everywhere! By the way, I have just notice that the table in the photo bellow resembles mine. I have been toying with the idea of scraping the white colour off my dining table, to get a natural wood (oak) finish. I might do that this summer, if I find some spare time and some good will, of course.
