GIL'S - DUBROVNIK

SARAJEVO

Down the memory lane.
Two years ago we were traveling through Sarajevo,
on our way to Dubrovnik.
We spent an hour in the center,
strolling along empty streets.
It was Sunday morning, the1st of May, and it felt kind of
Yugo-nostalgic.
Next time I am in Sarajevo it will certainly be something completely different.
My first stop will be right here

where my three wishes will come true:

1. Good atmosphere & inspiring interiors

2. Comfortable seat

3. Good coffee

For the fourth wish I dare not ask my gold fish,
because we always get only three wishes.
However, maybe I will be an exception, so here goes my 4th wish...

4.  Inspiring company of a spiritus movens, whoever that may be.

My next stop will be
KOD KIBETA
where my aforementioned three wishes will also come true.
Third wish will be replaced with "dobra jagnjetina".

Dear Karen

Dear Karen,

If you’re reading this, then it means I actually worked up the courage to mail it. So, good for me. You don’t know me very well, but if you get me started I have a tendency to go on and on about how hard the writing is for me. But this, this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. There is no easy way to say this so, I’ll just say it. I met someone... It was an accident. I wasn’t looking for it. It wasn’t in the make. It was the perfect storm. She said one thing and I said another. Next thing I knew, I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the middle of that conversation. Now, there’s this feeling in my gut... She might be the one... She’s completely nuts in a way that makes me smile, highly neurotic. A great deal of maintenance required. She is you, Karen. That’s the good news. The bad is that I don’t know how to be with you right now, and it scares the shit out of me. Because if I am not with you right now, I have this feeling that we’ll get lost out there... It’s a big bad world full of twists and turns, and people have a way of blinking and missing the moment; the moment that could have changed everything. I don’t know what’s going on with us, and I can’t tell you why you should trust a leap of faith on the likes of me, but damn you smell good. Like home... like Christmas. And you make excellent coffee. That’s gotta count for something, right? Call me.
Unfaithfully yours,
Hank Moody

Hank Moody

...........noćna mora svih žena.
I idol svih muškaraca.
Žene vole uzbudljive, nepredvidljive, romantične i horny muškarce.

Anyway, Hank is a great character and Californication is one of my favourite serials.
Hank:
You can't snort a line of coke off a woman’s ass and not wonder about her hopes and dreams, it's not gentlemanly.

People... they don't write anymore - they blog. Instead of talking, they text, no punctuation, no grammar: LOL this and LMFAO that. You know, it just seems to me it's just a bunch of stupid people pseudo-communicating with a bunch of other stupid people in a proto-language that resembles more what cavemen used to speak than the King's English.

“You kicked my dick out of the house. You made my dick homeless. And out of doors is a place where penises don't generally fare well. So my homeless dick now must seek shelter where and whence it can."
Wine is fine but whisky's quicker.
Women know within the first few seconds of meeting a guy whether they want to marry him, fuck him or kill him.
I love you Karen...and I want to spend the rest of my life annoying the shit out of you.
I'm, uh, fine. I'm disgusted with my life and myself, but I'm not unhappy about that.
At the end of the day it’s all about her. It’s always been about her. What happens between us I can’t control… But what I can do is be the absolute best I can be for her.

SHOULD I STAY OR

SHOULD I ROCK THE CASBAH?
 S01E4  of CALIFORNICATION.

the casbah is a sector of Algerias capital Algiers that is largely avoided by most algerians and other outsiders for fear of their lives. So feared is the Casbah that police don't enter the region unless heavily armed. More than 20 police have been murdered in the Casbah since 1992.
The Casbah has served as an impregnable warren against Ottoman invaders and French colonialists. It is now the hotbed of resistance against Algeria's military regime - an Islamic insurgency that has resulted in the death of more than 60,000 people in the last five years.
The old Casbah was renowned for its tolerant atmosphere. Native Arabs rubbed shoulders with Jews, Spaniards, Portuguese and French. But that tolerance has disappeared and the sector remains isolated.

ADVICE COLUMN

My dear friend,
you wouldn't believe what pupils in secondary school do during their breaks or even during lessons. I've had my share of all sorts of scenes from school.  But, to find out what your own child does at school is a bit disturbing. I know, it's all fun and they sometimes have no boundaries. My daughter is a very good student and a well behaved child, so should I be concerned about her behavior?  Am I a parent who allows too much and gives too much freedom?

Thanks for your help and advice.
