TOO COMPLICATED

REAL Blogging is just too complicated and time consuming!
Luckily, just a few people visit my blog, nobody is invited to leave comments,
and it is mainly for my eyes only.
Jee, I usually forget where I take the pictures from, I just find them in my folder and copy paste them here.
But, they come from my fave blogs, listed on the right side.
Thank you people, I give you all the credits, you inspire me ....
but sometimes I just can't be bothered about where I copy my pictures from.
Sorry about that!!!
If you, by any chance, happen to find me in cyberspace
and see your pic without a link to you,
let me know!!

KRISTINA DURAN - MAKEOVER IN THREE DAYS

A new issue of D&D magazine is a good Sunday read over a morning coffee.
Kristina Duran, a designer from Zagreb, made a makeover of her flat in just three days.
It must have been a dream team of handymen and a very organized logistics, to get things done in time.
I wish I could have a makeover of my place by the same dream team,
even though, frankly speaking, I would settle with quite less.
A good  spring cleaning  would also be a great face lift for my home.
I imagine a team of cleaners, with hoovers and washing powders, marching into my home
and leaving it immaculate and pristine after three days!
Anyway, who pays for such a makeover and how much did it cost all together?
How the flat looked before you can see on her blog Miss Decor or on her facebook.

Filipa's room 2006

Just found some old pics.
I even forgot Filipa's room looked like this!

I can spend countless hours assembling and then reassembling my favorite things….coffee table books, photographs, drawings, eclectic oddities I’ve gathered over time, mementos or gifts from friends and family heirlooms.
There are countless vignettes your can create with your sacred possessions….I am always a bit of a voyeur in friend’s homes,  I love seeing how they creatively place & display their precious objects with obvious care.
I find it fascinating actually…..those quiet moments you spend alone with yourself in your home that are deeply personal….when you are with the things you’ve accumulated over time, that conjure memories and tell your story….Who you are, what you love, where you’ve traveled….those trinkets we choose to surround ourselves with in our home are an extension of us….and how we choose to express who we are.

Just read this HERE. I love the way she writes!
Must take some time to go through all her posts and try some of her recipes.

BROCOLLI SALAD

Well since Monday I have been on my 30 day no junk food diet! So my carb loving self has been trying to stay away from pasta, bread and mashed potatoes.  I ran across this recipe and looked too good not to try! It was wonderful!! I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did.

  • 1 head broccoli, stems removed and florets cut into pieces
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup  mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup roasted no salt added sunflower seed kernels
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation:
  1. In a small bowl combine mayo, vinegar, honey, salt and pepper.  Mix well and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine broccoli, bacon, onion and raisins.  Gently stir in the mayo dressing.
  3. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
Today I had a girls' night, invited 5 girlfriends for supper and prepared salmon in dill sauce.
Must make it regularly, because it is very simple and healthy.
This recipe is more complicated and a bit different, but I can give it a try, for a change.

This recipe is more similar  to the one I made.
